Daihatsu has unveiled the new DN Comapgno hybrid car which is inspired by a model it shares its name with from 1963. The DN Compagno is just one of the five new cars Daihatsu debuted at the Tokyo Motor Show but it is perhaps the most interesting, even its colour.
Powering this retro saloon car is a petrol hybrid powertrain which combine either a 1.0-litre or 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine with an electric motor. The engine is married to a CVT transmission.
With a completely retro design with the narrow chrome grille, bubble-shaped roof, and old American car like rear. The Compagno wears both its retro and modern features well.
The question we all are asking, ‘will this car go into production’? With this look and finish, Daihatsu must produce this car and bring it to market soon.
