Mercedes-Benz Hap Seng Star Iskandar Autohaus Embodies Premium Exclusivity

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Sdn Bhd (MBM) together with authorised dealer Hap Seng Star (HSS) extends its presence in Johor with the launch of Mercedes-Benz Hap Seng Star Iskandar Autohaus (HSS Iskandar). With an investment of RM5 million, HSS Iskandar reflects the principal and authorised dealer’s efforts to expand their customer touchpoints to the southern region, particularly to Iskandar Malaysia, an economic development corridor.

“HSS Iskandar is a testament to Mercedes-Benz Malaysia and Hap Seng Star’s long-standing relationship and continuous commitment in delivering the best customer experience to all regions in Malaysia. As the largest premium automotive dealer network, it is natural that we remain steadfast with our core objective, to deliver the best products, best service and most importantly, efficient aftersales to customers,” said Mercedes-Benz Malaysia President and CEO, Dr Claus Weidner.

HSS Iskandar is able to display seven showroom vehicles, and is managed by 18 personnel who are well-versed in sales and after sales service. A full-fledged 3S centre, HSS Iskandar presently has eight work bays, and is capable of servicing 528 vehicles a month to handle the increasing demand for premium customer service and experience in the southern state.

Commenting on the launch, Hap Seng Consolidated Berhad Group Chief Operating Officer and Hap Seng Star Chief Executive, Mr Harald Behrend, said, “As our first Mercedes-Benz Autohaus in Johor, HSS Iskandar represents Hap Seng Star’s entry into the southern region. Driven by our corporate philosophy, Passion for Excellence, we aim to deliver our unique retail and customer experience to Johoreans, and ultimately to serve our customers an exclusive Mercedes-Benz experience with utmost care and passion.”

HSS Iskandar takes convenience and flexibility as a main priority for customers by offering Service Differentiation – a menu of customised personalized after-sales services tailored to customers’ individual needs. Services include as Door-to-Door services – to pick up cars at customers’ preferred location, and Drop & Go services – for customers to drop off their cars outside business hours.

Hap Seng Star’s latest Autohaus incorporates key aspects of the Mercedes-Benz Presentation System II (MPS II), the global Autohaus benchmark of customer experience. Built with customer comfort in mind, HSS Iskandar incorporates lifestyle elements such as the boutique and accessories area, customer lounge, and also a café for those who would like a quick snack. In addition, financial services from Mercedes-Benz Services Malaysia is also made available to all customers, thus covering a 360° approach – sales, financial and aftersales.

Todate, Hap Seng Star has invested over RM248 million in nine locations nationwide. Hap Seng Star currently operates Jalan Sultan Ismail, Kinrara (Puchong), Jalan Ipoh, Balakong, Bukit Tinggi, and the latest in Iskandar Johor. In East Malaysia, Hap Seng Star is present in Kuching, Miri and Kota Kinabalu.

HSS Iskandar is located at No. 1, Ground Floor, Jalan Bestari 8/2, Taman Nusa Bestari, while its service centre is located a mere 15 minutes’ drive away at No. 7, Jalan SILC 1/4, Taman Perindustrian SILC.
