The invite read New SsangYong Rexton Launch. Location was the Mandrin Oriental Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. The last two times I received an invitation to the Mandarin Oriental was for a german car manufacturer with huge worldwide sales and a wide product range. This time it was for a relatively smaller car manfacturer with a market niche and a limited product range. Korean carmaker SsangYong was out to make a point and that being they are here to stay and make an impact on the local motoring scene.
